Our hero grabbed his sword and shield,
and set out on the track
Looking for adventure,
he didn't know if he was coming back
Young man's quest, a classic tale,
to fight for guts or glory
He'd listened and believed it all,
every bed time story
On the way out of town,
he came upon a tavern of sailors
With drunken glot, the scabby lot
sang of terrible dangers
Our hero's eyes lit up in joy,
he'd found his life's calling
The captain said "you're a lucky boy,
we set sail in the morning!"
Leaving home, an age old mission
Leaving home, to fight the demon
To earn her heart and prove his worth,
a man must risk it all
Would he ever see his home again?
Would he ever see her face again?
Sailing 'cross the high seas,
the captain spots trouble ahead
But little does the crew know
the monster's to rear it's head!
Waves lash and thunder strikes,
but the captain holds his course
"Me hearty's rise and ready yer swords,
show the beast no remorse!"
Arms a dozen, from the depths,
rise the creature with furious vengeance
For it knows the crew seeks its doom,
as many have tried and died before!
Bravery and wit goes far, a father tells his son
But fairy tales of frogs and snails,
don't match the sounds of screams and wails
as the monster tears, limb from limb,
the crew, the boat and sails
Though hard as he tries, and fight as he might,
on that day our hero died
Will he ever see his home again?
Will he ever see her face again?
